Privacy Policy
DRAFT, pending legal review. This page was written against the planned tracking stack and has not been reviewed by counsel. It is reconciled with what actually fires on this site before the site is promoted. Items marked [TO CONFIRM: ...] are not yet sourced.
Last updated: [TO CONFIRM: effective date]
The short version
The Quarterlizer works out its estimate in your browser. The dollar figures you type in (income, expenses, payments, last year's return) are never sent to us and never stored. If you choose the optional email at the end, we receive your email address, your consent, and a few broad categories about your result. We do not sell your data.
What stays on your device
Every figure you enter and every figure the estimate shows. They are held in the page while it is open and are gone when you close or reload it. The page itself does not save your figures in cookies or browser storage. Printing or saving the page makes a copy on your device only. See “Analytics and advertising” below for what happens if you accept optional cookies.
What we collect, and only if you opt in
The email block after the result is optional; the result is complete without it. If you tick the consent box and press the button, the page sends to our contact system:
- your email address;
- your consent, and the exact consent wording you saw;
- the tags that file your contact record (a tool tag and an opt-in tag);
- your business type and filing status, as categories;
- a range for your revenue and a range for your projected tax (for example “$100,000 to $250,000”), never the figures themselves.
No revenue, expense, income, payment or tax figure is in what is sent.
How we use it
To send occasional tax-planning updates from Tax Sherpa to the email you gave. You can unsubscribe from any email, or write to us (see Contact) and we will stop and delete your record on request.
Estimates only
The Quarterlizer gives estimates for tax year 2026 from the numbers you enter. It is not tax advice and it is not a tax return. See the Terms of Use.
Who handles it
- GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) receives the optional opt-in and holds the contact record and sends the email.
- Railway hosts this page's files. It receives ordinary web-server request data (such as your IP address) when you load the page, which is how any website is delivered.
We do not sell your data to anyone for any purpose.
Analytics and advertising
The page loads Google Tag Manager (container GTM-KTP3H85M), which manages the tools below. A cookie banner (CookieYes) is set before the other tools load. Nothing that needs your consent runs until your choice is known, and the banner's settings link lets you change your choice at any time. The events the Quarterlizer sends to these tools carry only broad categories (such as your business type, a revenue range, a tax range, or which button you pressed) and an event identifier, never your figures or your email address.
| Tool | Purpose | Consent behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Google Tag Manager | Loads and manages the tools below. | Loads on the page; it runs the tools according to your cookie choice. |
| CookieYes | The cookie banner and your consent choice. | Runs first, before the other tools. Every consent type starts as denied until you choose. It records your choice so it can be applied on later visits. |
| Google Analytics 4 | Counts visits and page views to understand how the tool is used. | If you decline, it sends only cookieless pings with no identifying cookie. If you accept, it may set analytics cookies. |
| Microsoft Clarity | Session recordings and heatmaps: anonymized mouse movement, clicks and scrolling, to find where the page is hard to use. | Runs only after you accept analytics cookies. [TO CONFIRM: that Clarity is configured so the form fields you type into are masked and never recorded] |
| Meta Pixel and Conversions API | Measures advertising results and builds advertising audiences on Facebook and Instagram. | Runs only after you accept advertising cookies. [TO CONFIRM: which Meta pixel(s) fire on this site, and whether the Conversions API is used] |
| InboxGeek | Recognizes an anonymous browser and may match it to an email address. If it matches, it adds that contact to our contact system with one tag and starts a short welcome email series. | Runs only after you accept advertising cookies. [TO CONFIRM: that InboxGeek fires on this site, and the legal basis and unsubscribe wording for contacts it resolves] |
Once you accept, these tools may set cookies and share activity on this site with their providers (Google, Microsoft, Meta, InboxGeek). [TO CONFIRM: final list of tags after the install is checked on the live site]
Your choices
Decline optional cookies in the banner, or change your choice from its settings link. Skip the optional email. To ask us to stop emailing you or to delete your record, write to us (see Contact).
Children
This is a business tool for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy, for example if we add a vendor or change what we collect. The “Last updated” date shows the latest revision.
